Many moons ago, I was the young women, like many black women who used Mac foundation by default. To be fair, I wasn’t really interested in makeup and doing anything more than the basics at first. However, over time, I slowly started experimenting with my makeup and started branching out to other brands. I tried Bobbi Brown and started watching Jackie Aina videos, which encouraged me to no longer feed into the “rules” about what black women should and shouldn’t use.
With the launch of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty in September 2017, I was determined to find a foundation that I really liked and complimented my combination skin. Since purchasing Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, life has been sweet.
