There’s a lot of new music dropping from across the pond and here too. Since Goldlink dropped his new album “Diaspora” last week, I’ve had it on repeat. My new fave on the album is “Rumble” feat. Jackson Wang and Lil Nei. It’s a short headbanger that needs to be played at maximum bass and volume.
Dreamville dropped two songs from the upcoming “Return of the Dreamers 3” album that are so vastly different, representing the versatility we can expect on the album. Ari Lennox and Ty Dolla $ign on “Got Me” is the blessing I didn’t know I needed. The song also features Omen and Dreezy and has a 90s vibe to it, which you guys should know I live for. On “Down Bad”, J. Cole; JID; Bas; Johnny from EarthGang and Young Nudy all show out on the track, whilst rapping about difficulties they’ve each experienced.
Finally, we can expect Blade Brown’s “Bags & Boxes 4” album to drop (hopefully) before the end of the summer. “Intro” is the first single and it’s fitting as we’ve come to expect a killer intro on every Blade project so he hasn’t disappointed us this time around. Can’t wait to hear the rest of BB4!
Back off the Toronto Raptors’ NBA win, Drake dropped two new songs to celebrate - “Omertá” and “Money In The Grave” feat. Rick Ross. Of the two, “Omertà” is my fave as I like introspective Drake. Don’t get me wrong, as much as I love when Drake and Ross collab, “Money In The Grave” sounds like a demo; definitely needs some fine tuning!
