Pixi is my new favourite skincare line, recommended by my fave Jackie Aina! By the way, when it comes to skincare or makeup purchases, I do extensive research because my skin is VERY sensitive and I can’t waste my time and money on likely downfalls.
Anyway, I started using the Rose Tonic (replacing my Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz) as my AM & PM toner and it’s been great so far. It contains rose flower extract, elderflower & chamomile which calms & reduces redness, softens, brightens & soothes the skin. It’s the perfect daily toner for my sensitive skin!
Recently, I stopped using Simple’s exfoliating scrub and transitioned to chemical exfoliators. At first, I was extremely nervous about trying this method but after trialing it for a week, I was kicking myself for the delay! The Glow Tonic contains glycolic acid, which removes the outermost layers of dead cells revealing brighter skin. It’s also good for reducing the appearance of pores and also treats scars, discolouration, fine lines and wrinkles. As it’s an exfoliator and contains acid, I only use it twice a week at night.
After a month had gone by, I decided to add the Retinol Tonic to my routine too. I use the youth preserving tonic, which also contains jasmine flower, twice a week at night only. Like the Glow Tonic, I was quite apprehensive about using it BUT I’ve already seen a difference in my skin as it has more of a glow & is smoother. I can’t wait to see what my skin looks like in a few months time! 🥰
If you decide to try any of these toners, you can get them in two sizes - 100ml (travel size) for £10 and 250ml for £18 via Boots and Pixi. Make sure you do your Google’s first and you review what you’re currently using, if you do decide to try them.
