You all SHOULD know that Summer Walker’s debut album “Over It” drops this Friday and she released another single “Stretch You Out” feat. A Boogie Wit Da Goodie to promote it. The song fits perfectly with the obvious theme of “Over It” as Summer sings about an ex who is nothing but a disappointment.
Alina Baraz is BACK!! I’m so excited about this as her last album is so dope so I’m hoping we’re getting a new one by the end of this year. “To Me” is a sultry offering for the singer’s birthday and I really hope this isn’t a one-off because I’ve missed her presence in music.
Alicia Keys’ latest single, “Show Me Love”, features my fave, Miguel and Raphael Saadiq on the guitar. It’s the first time in a LONG time that I’ve heard a song from Alicia that I really like so I’m interested to see if she keeps this up. “TM Interlude” shows a vulnerable side to Melii and it’s fire! It’s good to hear her singing on a stripped back sound that really allows her voice to shine.
Lucky Daye surprised us all by dropping the acoustic single “Buying Time” so soon after his album “Painted”. Despite the song making me feel like I’m floating, it’s still an upbeat vibe. “Reason” by 11:11 is from his new “Mood” EP and it’s his signature sound, which I love. Last but not least, I’ve picked two more songs from SiR’s “Chasing Summer” album that are new faves of mine and another song from Snoh Aalegra’s “Ugh, Those Feels Again” album.
